A gold-coloured beer made with the finest Maris Otter and Crystal malts.  The addition of Caragold malt gives this beer a slight 'toffee' taste.  The finest British Ernest hops are used in the boil and the beer is dry-hopped with Citra hops for two days prior to putting in the cask.

The Rev. Richard Bingham was the longest serving minister at Holy Trinity Church, Gosport holding the post for 66 years from 1789.  A flamboyant character he was also a wealthy man, being a builder (he developed much of the Newtown area of Gosport), and an alehouse keeper.
