BEER

This one-off brew is a quaffing ale to toast Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second on the occasion of the Platinum Jubilee of her accession.

 

A British Bitter with a base of Norfolk Maris Otter malt, blended with Amber and Imperial malts and a hint of roasted barley.  The classic combination of British Fuggle and Goldings hops balance the maltiness.

Available over the Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday at The Portcullis Taphouse, Portchester and The Elm Tree, Swanwick.

The portable 19th century saluting gun at the entrance to Portsmouth Harbour in Fort Blockhouse, Gosport has been firing salutes since it was acquired by the Navy in 1957.
